Plone Downloads, Parte Duo

Looking at the download stats on SourceForge shows a disturbing downward trend, but the truth of the matter is that the download link in Plone.org now points to LaunchPad.net, where statistics apparently are not made public. My thought is that LaunchPad downloads are siphoning away stats from SourceForge, so we have an incomplete picture of the Plone hits. I'll have to turn to the Plone Foundations guys to get the numbers from the Plone.org server logs. Just goes to show that there are apples and oranges things happening all the time in the software world.

Yup, no new files are put up on sf.net anymore because of export restrictions — to make sure people on the US black list like Cuba can download Plone freely, we moved it to Launchpad instead.

They do keep track of the number of downloads, but aren't exposing those numbers in the interface yet. It's coming, though.

Any sign yet of download stats available from Launchpad? I'm hoping exalted core Plone developers have access to numbers that are still invisible to me. It would be nice to be able to see how the numbers are trending before the NOLA symposium.
